Richard B. “Rico” Modica Way is a short alley off Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, MA. It has become a showcase for street art and graffiti condoned by the city. Pictures are taken weekly by a non-professional fan of street art.

im pretty certain this is the wall i saw last night in cambridge which i recently just posted some pics of it.. im verrrry interested in all this i love graffiti.. and i can draw it.. but ive never tried spray paint.. i was just wondering like... what the "rules" of this place are... cuz i wanted to do my tag or some shit someday.. but didnt know if it was like specially paid for by experienced artists and stuff... or if its just there for people to go at as they please

Go back in my archives a few pages and you’ll find an askbox message where a local artist detailed the rules of the wall on Modica Way. Basically, don’t do anything while the Central Kitchen is open, per the owner; and don’t primer the wall, you have to work on top of existing pieces.
Also, visit the alley a few times, or go through these archives, and pay attention to which pieces are older or newer, and work over the OLDER pieces. Give other artists some time to showcase their work — but don’t be surprised if yours is obscured in a week.
